The Christmas season is upon us, and there is no shortage of inspiring performances for you to attend with your loved ones this month.
On Saturday, December 8, don’t miss A Suzuki Christmas. The community is invited to this free family friendly strings concert, presented by Suzuki String Academy. Come enjoy all the most loved traditional Christmas songs played by strings and sing along. Get into the holiday spirit with beautiful music for the whole family to enjoy! That same evening, A Celtic Christmas returns to the Panida Theater for one night only. Doors open at 6pm, with the show starting at 7. This magical concert, by internationally renowned Irish group Everdream, features beloved Celtic and Christmas classics, including songs by Enya, magical movie songs, toe tapping reels and jigs, some unique Irish Christmas songs, and their chart-topping version of “O Holy Night.” Visit Panida.org for link to purchase tickets.
Celebrate the beginning of the season with the internationally acclaimed Celtic folk group The Gothard Sisters with their Celtic Christmas Concert at the Heartwood Center on Sunday, December 9. Enjoy an evening of Christmas carols, Celtic tunes and songs, Irish dancing, and more. The show begins at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online at EventBrite.com.
Music Conservatory of Sandpoint presents their Music Matters! Christmas Concert Tuesday, December 12. Held at First Lutheran Church, The Music Matters! Youth Orchestra, Youth Choir, Percussion and Bell Choir groups will perform Christmas music from 6 to 8pm. No tickets are needed for this concert, though there is a suggested donation of $10 per family, which may be donated at the door.
Suzuki String Academy presents their second concert of the month, Candlelight Concert Series: Christmas Classics, at the Heartwood Center December 15 and 16. Be transported into a magical world of candlelight and string quartet music. Put on your gown and tux for this black-tie event in Sandpoint and be carried through time with nostalgic Christmas musical traditions from past and present. Tickets include a complimentary beverage. On Wednesday, December 18, The Festival at Sandpoint Youth Orchestra presents its Winter Concert. The community is invited to gather with friends and family at The Heartwood Center to join in for an evening of classical, pop and holiday favorites performed by The Festival at Sandpoint Youth Orchestra starting at 6pm.
