You won’t want to miss Northwest Winefest, happening July 15 and 16

Summer days spent at atop Schweitzer Mountain are truly unparalleled, from the fresh air, incredible views and exciting adventures that await, it’s one of the best places to get outside under the sun and have some fun!
Returning July 15 and 16, Northwest Winefest is a family friendly event that continues to draw crowds year after year. Throughout the two days, there’s wine tasting (for the adults of course!), as well as live music, food trucks and vendors, and a whole lot more!
“Our event entry ‘ticket’ is this year's Northwest Wine Festival glassware purchase, which can be purchased the day of the event!” shares Taylor Prather, marketing and public relations for Schweitzer. Glassware can be purchased at their glassware station near the vendor tents. Cost is $40 for a 9-ounce glass and $45 for a 15-ounce glass; both include six (2-ounce) tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets are $5 for 1, $20 for five and $30 for 10.
Ticket holders will enjoy access to 10 tasting tents and 20 wineries (80 different wine options!) sourced locally and within the Northwest region. “It's not every day you get to taste wine with some of the winery owners as they describe the subtle flavor profiles and love they have for their craft!” Taylor notes. There will also be lively local vendor booths showcasing their creations, food trucks (7Bistro, Burger Dock, Opa Food Truck and The Cajun Kettle), as well as additional merchandise available for sale.
And the event wouldn’t be complete without the live music. Performing Saturday will be Katie Mintle Duo (noon to 2pm), General Mojos (2:30 to 4:30pm) and Biddadat (5 to 7pm). The music continues Sunday with the Sam Leyde Band (noon to 2pm) and Kaitlyn Wiens (2:30 to 5pm).
Activities available include scenic chairlift rides, mountain biking, hiking trails, zip line, climbing wall, trampoline jumper, horseback riding, as well as mountain bike and ebike rentals.
“With the whole mountain available to you and your family to explore, it's sure to be a highlight of the summer!” smiles Taylor.
Event hours are 11am to 7pm Saturday, July 15, and 11am to 5pm Sunday, July 16.
Spot bus will provide shuttle service from the Red Barn throughout the day (schedule will be posted as the event nears).
